China grew up in South Carolina,where the hot summers and casual chitchat prepared her
well for a Thailand encounter. She first arrived in the kingdom as an English teacher in
the provincial capital of Surin and made periodic trips to
Bangkok for visa business ,navigating the city Felix.

Thanks to my usual Bangkok crowd: Mason and Jane ,the staff at Bangkok 101,Clay and Jessica,Sarah Wintle,Austin Bush,Fawn,Ruengsang and the international team at the TAT headquarters.More thanks to Matt for all the arty video messages,and baby son Felix who announced his arrival in utero on this Bangkok Trip. Thanks also to Jane Thompson and the Lonely Planet production team. After graduating from the University of Oregon,Austin Bush received a scholarship to study Thailand has remained in Thailand ever since.After several years at a stable job,he decided to pursue a career as a freelance photographer/writer.This has taken him as far as northern Pakistan,and as near as Bangkok's Aw Taw Kaw Market (p144),and will hopefully compensate him financially at some point
